moving Folders from Outlook Express on one computer to another

I have 2 computers. My old desktop PC had files from
Outlook Express that I want to bring over to my laptop.
I saved the files (containing multiple messages) on disks
and saved them as .dbt files. Now I am trying to import
those files in Outlook Express on my laptop. I can't get
the laptop to recognise the .dbt files. Even when I try
to open the files using Outlook Express nothing happens.
Any help would be appreciated.
