Moving images in word 2007

G

Geoff h

I cannot position images in word 2007.
Dragging the image causes the image to jump a large distance. If I use the
arrow keys the image will only go up the document.
I have turned off snap to objects and nap to grid.
I have tried resetting the word data key in the registry all to no avail.
I can set the image position using the preset positions in the image
position tab. I can change the text flow but I cannot set the image fine
position. I did not have this problem in word 2003. The commands seem to be
identical exept for the presets. What am I doing wrong? I have a deadline
approaching rapidly and need to position images in the text.
Help!
Thanks
Geoff h

In the Arrange section of the Picture Tools Format tab of the ribbon, click
on the Text Wrapping item and then on the More Layout Options item to get to
the Advanced Layout dialog that includes a Picture Position tab via which
you can set the Horizontal and Vertical position of the picture in a number
of different ways.
