Moving images with the mouse

M

Matt

I'm importing images to a Word document copied from MS Paint. When clicking
on the image and moving the mouse just a slight amount, the shortest the
image moves in any direction is greater than what is needed. There is no
means of moving the image in even a minute distance. This was not an issue
in the past so I was hoping someone can help to align the movement so that it
can be done in small increments. I hope this makes sense and would
appreciate any feedback. Thanks.

Pressing Alt overrides the grid and may be helpful. Increasing the Zoom may
also help.

In addition to Suzanne's tip you might try nudging the selected object by
using the arrow keys rather than relying on the mouse.

Matt,

I found when we went th Word 3000 the option Snap objects to grid is on by
default. In the Draw menu, in the Grid submenu, there is a selection box for
Snap objects to grid. Just uncheck it. There is a way to turn off the
default, but I cant remeber where. Maybe try looking in Help.
