Moving inserted files with pages

I have on occasion inserted files, say from an email, into my Notebook
as side notes. Naturally the file gets moved into the My Notebook file
structure and a link is inserted into the page.

I then move the side note to the proper folder at a later time. I was
a bit surprised to find that when I moved the page, the file wasn't
moved with it so the link in the Notebook page no longer worked. I
have since learned to save the file in a separate file structure and
insert a link. But still, shouldn't the program move the files with
the pages? Perhaps there's a setting that I'm missing somewhere?
