Moving license from one computer to another...

Andy

I have a retail version of Office XP. I purchased a new
computer and want to install it on the new machine. I
uninstalled it from the old machine but now when I try to
activate it on the new one, I says the product has
already been activated. This also raises the question of
what you are suppose to do if your HD crashes and you
need to reinstall office on the same machine??

Hi Andy,

When the activation wizard is running choose the
telephone activation method to speak to a MS technician.

Hello,

If may be activated by others. If you reinstall Office XP on the same
computer, you will need to reactive it. More detailed information can be
