Moving mails to IMAP folders

Hello,

I created a new email id on my server and created an email account in
Outlook 2007 using IMAP. I have created new folders in the mail server
(Accounts, Personal etc) and keep moving some mails from Inbox to the created
folders. This is working fine in webmail, and also synchronized in Outlook
but the problem is, the mails which I am moving to other folders are still
'remaining' in the Inbox with a line running through them (struck off) which
then have to be deleted or undeleted.

How can I turn off this behaviour so that the moved message gets normally
'moved' instead of pending deleteion.

This is the way IMAP accounts behave. About all you can do is adjust Views
settings to hide messages marked for deletion or set the Purge options so
that items are purged when switching folders online.

Thanks a lot Hal! I will customize my current view to filter out Marked for
deletion.

I have another question: I was quite shocked to see that my IMAP emails cant
be categorized in Outlook 2007 (the emails dont have the right-click
Categorize menu, and it doesnt show in the toolbar on top.)

Now interestingly, in the Custom View, on selecting Categories, it then
shows up and allows to categorize it. My question is, this looks like an
unintentional feature in Outlook so will there be any problems if I continue
using this?
