I have an installation of Office 2003 on my WinXP Pro
computer and just purchased a larger capacity hard disk
drive (Western Digital 120Gig). I have used the WD Data
Lifeguard Tools to setup the new hard disk drive. Now, my
Office 2003 doesn't work on the new hard drive and I
can't even run the Office repair utility. My guess is
that the MSOCACHE files haven't been copied to the new
drive and Office 2003 can't find the files.
I did leave the Office Setup Files on my system with the
original installation. However, I have tried to stay
current with all of the security and update patches.
Can I copy those MSOCACHE files to my new hard drive? If
so, where are they located or how do I find them? If not,
should I uninstall Office 2003 on my existing hard drive,
run the WD partition copy utility again, then reinstall
