I installed Office XP professional on an older laptop (166
MHZ) that only has a 2 gig drive. The installation took up
so much space that I can't install anything else on the
laptop and is constantly telling me that I can't open a
program until I close something else, even when the product
I'm trying to open is the only thing that would be open.
In addition, Excel is constantly malfunctioning and I have
to reboot the laptop. Since then, I bought a new laptop
and I want to take Office XP off the first laptop and put
it on the second. How can I do that in light of your new
product activation system? I also want to install it on my
desktop, which I understand from reading your information
is legal. I can't find the supposedly toll-free number for
support in this process anywhere or any help in your
Knowledge Base that tells me how I can find the toll-free
number. Please answer this asap, since my wife is in
school and needs to have Office XP on the laptop right now.
I really hate Office XP and would put it on a shelf and
never use it, if it weren't for the fact that it cost me so
much to buy it and my wife has to have it on her laptop for
school.
