Moving Office XP to Vista

Hi there.

I have searched Microsoft's website and cannot find the answer to this
question. I have Office XP Upgrade Version CD's when I upgrade from Office
97. I now have a new computer which has Window's Vista on it. I would like
to install Office XP on the new computer since I already own it and am not
really interested in Office 2007. Is it possible to install Office XP with
just my Upgrade CD's versus trying the impossible to install Office 97 and
then trying to install Office XP on top of that? I am guessing my Office XP
CD's will automatically not work since they will say there is no Office
already on my computer. Any thoughts to this situation?

Thank you very much

The upgrade qualifying Office 97 CD being available during the installation of Office XP should be sufficient.

thanks for the reply..but on the new computer there is no Office
installed..... so when I would put in the Office XP CD Upgrade, it is not
going to find any previous installations of Office.....

Therefore, how to do I transfer my Office XP from the old computer to the
new computer....

Thanks in advance

it should just ask for the Office 97 CD to check the upgrade eligibility....
