Moving old Outlook 2003 files to newly "wiped" hard drive

I recently had to reinstall MSWindows XP (and everything else) on my
computer. Before I did so, I removed my hard drive, took it to a third party
tech, and had him back up my Outlook 2003 Archive.pst, Extend.dat,
Outlook.pst, and OutlookHotmail-00000002 files to a DVD.

Now as I am setting up Outlook on the "clean" hard drive, the files won't
open (they are reading as 'read-only', and I'm getting an "Access denied"
error message.

HELP!!!!

You don't need Extend.dat or the Hotmail PST. They'll be recreated. Copy
the PSTs to your hard drive, remove the read-only attribute, then use the
Mail applet in Control Panel to add them to your mail profile.
