Moving .pst files from one computer to another

When trying to import .pst files into the new computer
the following error message comes up:

\Outlook.pst is not compatible with this version of the
Personal Folders information service.

I am using Office 2003

What's up?

Which version of Outlook 2003 are you using and with what version is the pst
created? Beta 1, 2 or Technical Refresh?

Open the pst-file with the version of Outlook that it is created with.
Create a new Outlook 97-2002 Data file and copy/export your messages to. Now
you can open the pst-file in any version of Outlook.
