Hello - There appear to be UNIQUE ID message settings related to POP3 mail
that do not transfer with my PST when I move the PST file to a new computer.
What I notice when I create an identical profile and connection settings on a
new machine with the transferred PST and then do a Send/Receive that Outlook
does not recognize the previous UNIQUE IDs of the existing messages. As a
result the WHOLE inbox is downloaded again duplicating the messages that are
already exist in the PST (I intentionally have "leave messages on server
checked" to preserve mail). I have read that the UNIQUE ID info lies in the
registry. Is there a way to transfer my PST information and have ALL the
mailbox settings information needed so that Send/Receive on a new machine can
resume where Send/Receive on the old machine left off (without all the
duplication)? Any ideas? Thanks, Simon
