Moving "sent" email to custom folder

Using "Organize" under the "Tools" menu, it is possible to
create a rule that will move INCOMING email to custom
created subfolders, and the rule works! By the same
method, it is possible create a rule that IS SUPPOSED to
move SENT email to custom created subfolders, but the rule
DOES NOT work. How can I make this latter rule work?
