Moving start date

Is there any way to make Project recognize a moving start
date. Right now I know what kind of schedule I want to
build but it is based on a contract signing that is not
date defined as yet. How do I do that?

Derek,
I suggest you put a temporary "stake in the sand" for the plan. Pick an
arbitrary start date and fill in all the task descriptions, estimated
durations and task interdependencies. When the contract is finally let
and the actual start date determined, run the "Adjust dates" macro on
the Analysis toolbar to re-set all dates to agree with the contract.
