Moving task start dates

I have a PM that is starting a plan, her first plan. Whenever she attempts
to add a task it's fine until she adds a resource. Then it changes the start
date to 12/31/2012. I can open her plan and create a task, and assign
a resource and the start stays at 7/29/2009. When I view it, the entire plan
looks
fine. It ends in 2009. When she opens it, it ends in 2013. Any suggestions?
I'm stumped.

Are you using the same machine? I'd like to see if you can isolate this to a
particular installation of Project. If so, then it would make sense to run
an Office repair to resolve the problem.

We are not on the same machine, but that's a test I'll try.

Gary,
Thanks for your help. I logged into the PM's machine, with my ID and
updated the problem plan. It works just fine for me. So, I'm guessing this
has something to do with the PM's ID, not the installation. Have you ever
seen this problem before?

I'd go ahead and delete the local cache as well as the browser cache. The
other possibility is corruption in local global mpt.
