Moving to a new cell using the tab key

I am having a problem with Excel 97 in that when you try
and move to the next cell to the right by use of the TAB
key I move from cell A1 to cell L1 with one press of the
tab key. Normaly when you hit the tab key you would move
from A1 to B1. How do I change this or reset Excel 97
Back to the default settings.
