Moving to next record in form

Hi,

I am using a beforeupdate event on a simple form, to populate a textbox on
the same form, from the concatenation of some values entered on the form.
My problem is, that when I attempt to go to a new record using the record
selectors, it will not move to a new record. Just to clarify the the
beforeupdate event is sent to trigger from the form. Any assistance would
be appreciated.
