moving vwnotify.exe from application server to SQL server

Has anyone ever tried to move the vwnotify.exe from the app server to the sql
server? I was told it improves performance for daily transactions and
nightly cube builds. Does anyone have any additional info?

Yes, this is a good strategy if your network connectivity is substandard.
CAVEAT: don't do this if your SQL server isn't at least a two processor box.
