I need to move my outlook files from one laptop to a new laptop. The last
time I did this, I just copied the Outlook.pst and Archive.pst from one
computer to the other. It worked, but in outlook, it listed everything
twice. That is, it thought it had TWO sets of files, but it only had one.
I read the http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm, and it
has nothing to do with this problem. I know how to backup files and restore
files, etc. etc. I need to know how to move the outlook database from old
laptop to new laptop. Both PCs use Windows XP with Outlook 2003.
I have not yet configured outlook on the new laptop. I have installed
office 2007, and opened and configured Word and Excel.
I have read all the similar postings and none of them address this problem.
