Mpeg's won't project on LCD from Office XP. Any Ideas?

I have a series of video clipes (mpeg) that are embedded into my powerpoint
slide show. When I run through the presentation, everything works fine. Then,
when I plug into an LCD projector, I can see the video clips on my screen,
and I get sound, but they won't project through the LCD.

When run on an older version of Office from another laptop, they project
just fine.

It should be noted that I have had this issue on 2 different computers,
using Office XP each time.

Is this an issue that can be resolved, or do I need to downgrade?
