mpg won't play in PPS or SecurePack

I create PP presentations for clients. Normally everything works great
I usually pack everything, including mpg files in SecurePack. For
recent client, I am having a problem getting his Windows XP laptop t
play an mpg that IS (definitely) in the SecurePack package.
alternately created a PP Show and made sure that the mpg file was i
the correct folder to play. PP Show did not play mpg either. Here i
the twist... the mpg WILL play as a stand alone in the WMP that is o
the client's computer. (If I click on the mpg file, WMP (version 10
opens, and the movie plays.) Any suggestions as to what may b
preventing the mpg to play? It works on 99.9% of the computers that
have, including my own. Thank you in advance

Austin... Thanks for the reply and trying to help. The tutorial wa
informative. I did not realize that PowerPoint uses mplayer2 (and no
WMP). I'm glad to have learned this. mplayer2 IS on the client'
computer, and it will play the mpg file. Since there were 8 reads an
one reply, I guess that there is not an easy answer... too bad for me!
If anyone else has any thoughts, please let me know. Not previousl
stated was that this presentation was created in PowerPoint 2003, an
I'm using the most-recent version of SecurePack, including the 200
viewer. As I mentioned before, the same presentation works on al
other computers that I've tried. I know the problem is with hi
computer, but not sure where to look. Is it possibly some sort o
security setting that won't allow auto-play of mpg files? I know tha
there are security settings in PowerPoint, but I didn't think that the
related to mpg files. Mik
