MS 2000 Word update

I have MS 2000 Word and excel installed on my laptop w/
XP Pro. Every once in a while I get and error message and
forward it to MS. I get back a response that say to
update and down load File an update file. I down load the
file, o2ksr 1a.exe, but it won't install. I get a message
that says " MS Office 2000SR-1 update could not download
the Office 2000 SR-1 core update"

Can anyone help me?
