MS Acces Security

Hello out there. I am not new to MS Access, but I am new
to its security capabilities. I used the "User-Level
Security Wizard" to create a secure database, and I did so
on my personal workstation. I setup two specific users,
through the wizard, and received PID numbers and the
report that's generated at the end of the wizard. The
secured.mdw is located with the .mdb file. However, when
I launch Access, it's not asking me for a user-name and
password. I know that if I enter a password for admin it
will prompt me, but shouldn't Access prompt me after
running the wizard? In addition, none of the users I
setup in the wizard appear in the security area of Access;
it's as if I hadn't done anything. My ultimate goal is to
setup the database with security, and move it to a network
location that can be accessed by the two individuals I'm
building the database for. Can anyone assist me in this
matter? Thanks very much.

The wizard created a desktop shortcut for you to launch your secure
database. Try opening the mdb via the shortcut.

When you are ready to move it to the network, you'll need to copy both the
mdb and the secure mdw.

Well Thanks so much for this info about the shortcut. I
am not sure if this step was mentioned during the Wizard
when I did all the security stuff. I don't recall seeing
anything about that. I had no idea the shortcut was ont
he desktop and for over an hour I tried everything I
could think of to gain access to my newly Secured
database. Imagine my frustration! Thank you!
