MS Access 2000 Command Button Wizard

I am trying to place a button on a form but the Command button Wizard
will not open. I have already checked to see that the Magic Wand is
selected on the tool bar. Is there something else I need to check on
the setup? What am I missing?

Try a reboot. Or a removal and install. I'm not aware it's a known problem,
but then I dont use wizards.

Reboot may sound simple, but you don't say you've done it. I regard my
internet PC as unreliable, and certainly I have to reboot often

I tested A2000 SP1 (on a PC with infrequent other connections) and the Command
Button Wizard worked fine.

A2000 with no SP's was pretty buggy. Have you got at least SP1? (I think it's
up to SP3, but of course it's obsolete)

If that didn't work, I'd consider the whole installation suspect, and perhaps
try another PC. There's no other way to KNOW whether you just have a "funny"
on a particular PC.
