Ms-Access 2003/2007 Registry Settings

I have both Ms-Access 2003 and 2007 installed on my pc. It used to be that
mdb's were opened with MS-Access 2003. Now, mdb's are opened with MS-Access
2007.

What can I do to return to the original settings. Changing "Folder Options"
has no affect - it always defaults back to 2007.

In my experience, Windows "remembers" the last version you opened an MDB with.
So, just open Access 2003 and navigate to your MDB file. Close it and then try to
open the file with a double-click.

This is a nusance and there are ways around it, like creating a shortcut that specifies
which version of Access to use, but switching back and forth between 2003 and 2007
will eventually cause you to "go postal" waiting for the "install" to complete.

If you want to change the settings from Windows, then you'll need to open windows
explorer (not Internet Explorer) and choose Folder Options from the Tools menu. Go
to the File Types tab and find MDB in the list. Click the Change button and tell Windows
which version of Access you want to be assigned to opening MDB files.
