MS ACCESS 2003 Warnings

We have a .mde in a shared folder. It is a database accessed by everyone in
the organization when requesting time off. All that is needed is the emp#.

We have Microsoft GP - and launch the program from a tab on a Business
Portal page we created.

Problem - we keep getting "Do you want to open or save this file" (we do not
want people saving the .mde) and then we get the unknown publisher warning.

Any suggestions on how to eliminate both

Doesn't look like an Access problem to me. Seems like your application is
downloading a file from the intranet/internet. I don't know what is Microsoft
GP, you might want to post it to that forum.

GP = Great Plains, an upscale accounting program. Web-based, so your
intuition is correct.
The OP needs to understand Access (at this time) is not compatible
with web technologies. The same prompts would happen if an Excel file
were published.
Also, deploying the front-end (or monolithic) Access app on the server
is not per MSFT best practices, and it is the number 2 FAQ in the
newsgroups. So you should have no problem finding help.
