Hello, Alan!
You need to be careful at 2 things to install Office
2000, when you already have Office 97 installed, and want
to keep Office 97 too:
1) When you install Office 2000, change the folder in
which the installer wants to install Office 2000 to a
different folder than in which Office 97 is installed,
name it for example: "Office2000".
2) When you are asked if you want to remove older
Office installations, choose no.
Also, if you don't have already done so, get and run
all available service packs for both Office versions
(search for them the MS website).
Note that if you ever will need to install Office 97
when Office 2000 is already installed, there are some
tricks to do for everything to be ok. Ask for that tricks
when you need them.
