Hello,
I have got quite an annoying situation where I think I have figured
out the causes and effects but no solutions. Basically I created a
form that had vertical text in the header on another computer. I
opened the form on this computer and saw that the vertical text was
blank when the form was opened. I found online that Internet Explorer
7 can cause this to happen. So happy to stick with firefox, I
uninstalled IE7 and low and behold the vertical text had reappeared.
Then I found a whole new issue. I realized that I cannot open an
Access icon if there is already another user in it and an .ldb file
present. The only way I can open the file is if I go into Access and
navigate to the file from there. This does not really work in our lab
environment.
To test the connection I reinstalled IE7 and of course the vertical
text was gone but the Access Icon worked even with others in the DB.
IE7 is definitely the reason and all I want to do is get rid of it and
make the computer think it was never there. Everything was fine
before this and I would like things to go back the way they were.
Please help.
