Ms Access.... Custom Autonumber Format

Hi all.......I'M Using Ms Access to develope a db...which I want to se
an autonumber format like this "FAMAOR-YY-XXXXX"....The YY = Year an
the xxxxx = autonumber...and the example of generate autonumber shoul
be like this "FAMAOR0200001".....can anybody
tell me how to do thi

Access Autonumbers are intended as generally unique row identifiers. You
are describing a custom numbering scheme that does not use the Autonumber
data type.

By combining several "meanings" together into one field, you are creating an
"intelligent key" -- this is NOT considered a compliment. Use separate
fields for the data you wish combined, then use a query to combine the
fields as you wish for reports and forms.

Use of two-digit year-related fields suffered through the Y2K issue a few
years back -- are you sure you want to use "YY"?
