Hello,
I understand that when trying to reinstall Access application with runtime,
you encounter the message "Please Wait While Microsoft Windows Configures
Microsoft Access Runtime 2002" and then nothing happens. If I'm off-base,
please let me know.
From the symptom, it seems some corrupted registery keys related to Access
runtime causes this issue. I suggest that you try the following method to
troubleshoot the issue:
1. Remove the application and Access runtime via Add/remove programs in the
Control Panel.
2. Run Windows installer cleanup to remove any Access runtime component on
the machine

3. Try to reinstall your application with runtime at this time to see if
the issue persists.
If there is any upadte on the issue, please feel free to let's know. Thank
you.
Best Regards,

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
