MS Access RENAMING a FILE

When I do a RENAME on a MS ACCESS file to rename it - I
get an error message that says this file may not be usable
if renamed.

example : trying to change EXAMPLE.mdb to TEST.mdb

The warning occurs when you try to change the file's extension, such as test.mdb
to test.txt, not the name of the file.

Hi! Make sure that you are not changing the extension. I
have run into this a couple of times because I hide my
extensions. Make sure you can see the entire file name
and only change the file name, leaving the extension
intact.
