I'm trying to run a program written for Access 2003 and XP under Vista
Ultmate and Access 2007. The program is entitled LeapSE and can be
downloaded for free at www.leapse.com.

When I install the program - and try to run the example file - I get the
following messages:

1.) Could not read data from the DbDir registry value. Current user may

not have permission to access registry. (I get this when I try to open
their exapmple file entitled Examples.lpp)

Then another message then pops up that says:

2.) Cannot open application database. Check configuration & permissions of

the AppDB. Data source name not found and no default driver

specified.

I've already tried going to their AppDB and 'Unblocking' it.

Please help

as long as the access
program starts, runs
and closes normally,

then the problem is
not the program, but
that database file.

such issues are the
direct responsibility of
the programmers.

in this case, you need
to ask for help with that
file from the people who
are providing it.

The LeapSE site has contact details for tech questions
Because it was written under Access 2003 doesnt neccessarily mean it will
run under 2007, niether being compiled on a winxp sys means it will run
under Vista, particularly if the application has been hardcoded for registry
and other win pointers
