Hi,
we have here in the company like 100 Mac Computer running MS Office 2004
for Mac. All behind a firewall (ipchains) and a proxy (squid).
If I use the MS AutoUpdate for Mac and search for updates it takes a
long time until it finds available updates (like 10 minutes). The would
be fine for me, but this works only on a view machines. On most of them
the application returns that there are no updates available. But if I
connect the same machine then directly to the internet (without proxy
and almost without firewall), it finds updates imidiatly.
Did anyone know why AutoUpdate is lying in this case? I mean, its not
telling that it can not see the server or something. No, it tells me
there is no update and that is not true.
What can I do that MS AutoUpdate works correct? Is anyone using this in
a company environment?
Thanks in advance,
