Never save Excel files directly to a floppy disk or open Excel files
directly from a floppy disk. There are way too many things that can go wrong
if you do this, some of which can cause your file to become permanently
damaged. Use your hard disk to open and save files and then use Windows
Explorer to copy files between your hard disk and floppy disk.
