Using tools -> option, I entered a site on a server to save my data, such as
\\office\data\QA.
Well the Office site went down and a new one, with a different name was
created.
When I went into tools->option to save my Autorecovery site, I received a
warning stating that \\office\data\QA could not be reached.
I had to go into the registry and update the
keys:HKEY_CURRENT_USERS\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Excel\Option\...
AltStartup,AutoRecoverPath & DefaultPath.
If a server or path is not found, then Excel should see this and offer the
user an alternative. Not just leave them hanging there.
