MS Frontpage with a Dell Dimension with Windows XP

Nick

I have MS Office with Windows XP on a Dell Dimension.

Does anyone know whether I should have Frontpage installed?

I have posted this to a Dell forum as well.

Thanks

I think it depends on what version of Office. some versions of office came
with Frontpage. I think Microsoft Office XP - Professional and Microsoft
Office 2000 - Premium came with Frontpage. But Office 2003 - FP was
separated from the Office disk (I think).

With effect from Office 2003, FP is sold separately from mainstream
Office Application packages.

You say "I have MS Office". this statement is incomplete because there
are different versions and type of packaging. It could be SBE - Small
Business Edition, in which case you only have Word and Excel. Also,
whatever you have got on the system is likely to be a trial version
unless you have paid separately for "MS Office" when ordering your
system.

Hope this helps.

No - you purchase it from a shop - it is not included with Windows and
generally not included with MS Office except premium editions.

Right, that's why I said with office 2003 it was separated from the office
products. The previous versions had FP in it (depending on the version name)

It is definitely not included in MS Office 2007 as it has been withdrawn
from sales in favor of its replacement product Expression Web (not included
in any version of Office)
