MS HANDHELD SYNC SOFTWARE

In sum, I am using a Palm Zire 72 with Ver. 5.2.8 Palm OS; Entourage
2004; and am syncing with Palm's software and Microsoft's Handheld Sync
software.

Needless to say I have checked the box stating that I am using the
newer Palm OS; however the MS Handheld Sync software does a mediocre
syncing job, caused by the fact that the MS software is OLD.

QUESTION: Has anyone heard if Microsoft is planning to update their
Handheld software in the not too distant future? Is anyone at Palm
doing anything for us poor Mac users?

There are very strong rumours that Microsoft are working on a new version of
the Entourage Palm conduit to support Apple's new Sync Services (which were
apparently somewhat broken until 10.4.3) amongst other things.
