MS Hidden Data removal tool

I installed this tool and it seems to work fine on Excel and PP. However,
the menu item to remove data does not show up on the Word menu (using w2k,
Office 2k2). Anyone know why?

First check to see if the add-in is actually installed:

- Start Word
- Go to Help/About Microsoft Word
- Click the "System Info" command
- Expand the branch for Office 10 Applications
- Expand the branch for Word
- Expand the branch for COM Add-ins
- Check the COM Add-in list on the right for a COM-Add-in named:
RemoveHiddenData

Post back with what you find and I'll figure out what to do from
there. ;-)

Beth,

Thanks. I just opened Word to follow your advice and guess what - it is
there now. Maybe a reboot was required for Word to be happy, although the
other apps didn't need it.

Glad to hear the problem is resolved. :)

It should have automatically installed, however the menu item is added
each time Word starts so if you were running Word during the
installation, or if you use Word as your email editor in Outlook and
it was running, then that would explain it.
