The systems admin recently installed MS Hot Fix 04-028,
and now most of our Office applications don't work.
We use a lot Access 2003 to store our data, and most of
the databases automaticly opens a mail merge Word document
that is linked back to the database. It jumps to the
record in the Word Doc to the corisponding record that is
showing in the Access Database.
If the mail merged Word Doc is opened by the user it asks
us:
Microsoft Word: Opening this document will run the
following SQL command: SELECT * FROM [qry_CustomerData]
Data from your database will be placed in the document. Do
you want to continue? Yes or No
But, if the Word Doc is opened through Access, or just
like if the user selected NO to the above situation, you
get a Microsoft Visual Basic Error: Run-Time error '5852':
Requested object is not available.
Is there a way around this or disable this annoying
feature, other than removing the Hot Fix?
