ms jet database has toppen because another user is changing the same record

hello,

im having the following problem

i have a access 97 database on a network drive. a user on
a win2ksp2 client who changes a record gets the following
error.

Ms jet database engine has stoppen because another user is
chaniging the same record.

problem is that no-one is in this database but only this
user.
