How many product keys come with this edition? Is there only one or are
there 3 different Keys (one for each installation)?
I'm in the process of reformatting my daughters laptop which has one copy
of MS OFC 2003 SE. Do I have to deactivate her copy before I reinstall?
If so, how do I do it?

I normally don't read the subject when I go through the posts on my
newsreader so when I first looked at your post I thought you meant Office
2003 Small Business Edition (SBE) but I now know you meant Student & Teacher
edition (when I read the subject.) I think it is bad to abbreviate product
names in posts as I almost told you that you couldn't install on more than
two computers. Glad I reread your original post.
Three licenses for retail Student and Teacher Office 2003 using one 25
character key.
There is no deactivation for Office software. An activation on a 4th
computer will cancel the information in Microsoft's database normally for
the first computer that it was installed on.
You can reinstall without an issue as long as you don't go over the 3
concurrent computer limit for the license. If you have reached the 3
computer limit within the last 120 days you "may" have to use telephone
activation even though it is being reinstalled but as JoAnn said you
probably won't and internet activation should occur. If it has been longer
than 120 days the internet activation should work just fine for your
reinstall.
