MS Office 07 trial 180 days to new computer

My son received a 180 trail version with his Intro to Microcomputers text
book, he loaded it on the laptop, it crashed so he put it on my desktop, now
it will not activate and is not totally functional. What can we do? THe 180
is not even close to being up and I can't use my outlook. Of course I could
reinstall 03, but I would like a quick solution if there is one

That was not a very smart move by your son. Since you had Office 2003 installed with
Outlook and then he installed the Office Trial then obviously your Outlook will not
work since there can only be one instance of Outlook installed at any one time.

Now what you need to do is to uninstall the Office Trial along with your Office 2003
install and then re-install either the Trial alone or your Office 2003 alone. This
is up to you as to which one you want to have on your desktop. You cannot have the 2
running together
