What do you mean by "copies to floppy"? Do you mean to say "save to
floppy disk"? Is it a USB hosted floppy drive? do you know its drive
letter? Can you see it in Windows Explorer?

Answering your queries - yes I mean " saves to floppy disk" - yes it is an
IBM USB hosted floppy drive - the drive is recognised as A:/ - yes it appears
in Windows Explorer with the test document (title and the properties are
correct). A Word test document copied from C:/ to floppy disk appears as
volume on the disk but when attempting to copy this test document ftrom the
floppy disk back to another folder a notice appears stating "Target cannot
handle this type of document. I have succesfully copied a Utility program
("Whisper") from disk C:/ to floppy disk and back to C:/ but Word documents
seem to be copied to floppy disk but not back again. The floppy disks I am
using are Dyson HD. I am very grateful for your interest and any help you
can give me.

*Never* save directly to removable storage. Save it to the hard drive and
then use Windows Explorer to copy it over.
