A number of the MS MVPs were at Microsoft for part of this past week.

While there, MS announced that the next release of MS Office,
"Office 12" (due out in late 2006) will have the ability to create PDF files
built into the Office 12 apps.

The PDF feature is being built by Microsoft using Adobe's open specification for PDF files. We don't have further details at this
point, since Office 12 is that far out in the future, but thought it was a good thing to hear and be able to share.

Does this also appy to Visio? It would be really useful to get PDF
output directly from Visio.

I'm not sure. I know Publisher will as well as the Big Four (Word, Access,
PowerPoint, Excel). I'm not sure about Visio but my gut feeling is yes.
