ms office 2000 error 1305

i have ms office 2000 on my old computer with win 98-i am
trying to install office 2000 on my new computer with win
xp home edition-i keep getting an error message-error
1305 reading from file: D:\pfiles\common\system\map\1033
\nt\msmapi32.dll-verify the file exists and that you can
access it

I'm having this exact same problem have you found a solution for it? Please help me I need to get my work reports at home again..... I'm freaking out and losing time.
