MS Office 2000 Setup

I have MS Office 2000 Premium Upgrade version. I am
having problems with help screens behaving funny with a
variety of errors coming up intermittently. I assume that
my installation is somewhat corrupted. I tried Setup
Repair but that did not help. I would like to uninstall
Office and reinstall it but I am concerned that since I
am using the upgrade version once I uninstall it won't
let me install because it won't find an earlier version
of office on my hard drive anymore. The earlier version
was overwritten with MS Office 2000 premium upgrade on
install I presume. Any thoughts that could help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks. (I am using Windows XP
professional as the operating system.)

Provided you have origonal, earlier qualifying product discs, no problem.
Simply insert qualifying disc into cd during install, when yr upgrade
version is searching for the qualifying product.

I can't find the original discs. I bot the computer 2
years ago and even though I consider myself organized I
can't seem to find those discs. Now what should I do?

The best option is to find someone with a qualifying product and borrow
their discs, other than that buy an older qualifying product disk frm a
second user source.
