I now have symbols and arrows appearing in all my documents. Where ever I
have hit ENTER key or TAB key. How do I fix all my documents please?

Hi Spike,

Not sure this is your problem but try going into Preferences. Under
"view" is the option to show non-printing characters checked off?

Nonprinting characters can be turned off and on by clicking ¶ in the
Standard toolbar. If that doesn't work, check the View settings in the
Tools | Options menu. See here for more info, and an explanation of how
nonprinting characters can be extremely useful:
