Sudden problem. The drop down menus have disappeared from MS Word. All
other applications in the suite (Entourage, Excel and Power Point)
work just fine. Any suggestions? I can't access ANY drop down menus
other than the Fonts menu so I can't change Preferences, etc. Thanks
for your help!

Hrumph. Didn't work. I went to the help site, downloaded and installed
the update. No good. I followed all the recommendations, still no
good. I don't have the PICTify 1.5 installed on this computer. Any
other ideas? I really appreciate your help!

Hi Becky,

The fix that should work for your particular problem is the very first one
listed in that article: dragging the Word Settings (9) file to the desktop.
But in order for it to work, you must quit out of Word first. Are you sure
you did this correctly? I'm in Word 2001 myself and this fix has brought my
menus back every time they disappear, which is 2-3 times a year.
