MS Office 2003 and Proofing Tools 2002 compatible?

Until recently I was working with the US English version of MS Office 2000
and MS Proofing Tools (Version 2002) to handle some other languages.
Everything worked well.
Now I am using MS Office 2003...

When I try to install the Proofing Tools, first I get the message: "Prepare
to Install"
5 seconds later a windows pos up which says:
"Microsoft Office XP Proofing Tools require MS Office XP to be installed.
Please install XP prior to installing this product."

Is the 2002 version of the Proofing Tools not compatible anymore? How to
solve the problem?
