MS Office 2003 - normal.dot template

Dear Sir/Mme

My normal.dot template is not functioning properly. If I go to the template
normal.dot in my Explorer directory and click open then the Word.doc opens
properly showing the whole page with related margins top, bottom, and sides.
However, if I open a new document in Word the top and bottom margins of the
page are not shown. I can make the top and bottom margins appear if I open
then close the header/footer tab in view. The next document I open however
is back to no top or bottom margins.

This started occurring after I took a scanned document, with numerous
different line spacing’s, and tried to make it my standard format by
highlighting the paragraphs I need to make all the same line spacing and
clicking on “normal†in Styles & Formatting. I noticed that instead of being
Arial font size 11 it was Times New Roman font size 12. I then also noted
that the space between the pages had disappeared. I have since re-opened the
document and there are still no page separations showing even though they do
show when put into .pdf format.

Can you please instruct me how to have my Word documents open with
normal.dot, showing all margins, when I click on new documents in Word?

Thanking you in anticipation of your knowledgeable solution.

Cheers Coyote
